I was asked a question some time ago. That question was why don’t you just stay in the US and not the Philippines. Tough question with a difficult answer. First, we go to the Philippines because that is where God has called us, and second, we have tried for years to get opportunities to go into the churches and share what God has put on our hearts, but the churches are not interested in having evangelists come to their church.
To elaborate on the second point first. We have prayed and have done everything we felt directed to do with absolutely no response what so ever. We have been told that they do not have evangelists come or that they are the only ones allowed to speak in their church. Their reluctance or disobedience to God is between them and God and they will be judged for that. With no opportunities or direction for here we will go where God wants us and not where others think we should be. People say, there is a lot of evangelism right here. That is true, and we minister whenever the opportunity comes. We are evangelists and we will always share what God puts on our hearts. To elaborate on the first point, one day many years ago, I heard a voice that told me we were going to the Philippines. After many days of arguing with God and telling him there was no way we were going to the Philippines, we went to the Philippines. Since the day our plane landed at Mactan International Airport in Cebu, Philippines, we knew that we knew this was the place God wanted us. Since then, we have traveled extensively to the Philippines. Where God calls you is where you go regardless of how much you go kicking and screaming only to find out, that is where you belong. So, to answer the question, God has called us to the Philippines and we will be obedient to that call. When you are obedient to what he says, you will see some of the most amazing miracles, even if you aren’t paying attention. People have been called all over the world by God and they are in his blessings when they obey his call. We tried to argue our way out of the Philippines, but we went against our better judgement only to find we were home if you will. God has always make a way and he is always calling. Hear his voice and respond. You may say you don’t need to go anywhere, but God will say, “I need you here or there”.

My Conversation with God!
Have you ever had one of those conversations with God that you know you are not going to win but you try anyway? Well, that is what just went through my mind. I have been asking God what do we need to do? We feel stagnant because there are no speaking engagements and sometimes I feel that if I don’t use my gifts, I will lose my gifts. God chose to put inside my head, the Philippines, and that is where the losing conversation began for me. I was so bold as to tell God that there is no way we could go to the Philippines because it would be impossible to raise the money to go. He put on my heart that I was to trust him and not what I see around me. I knew that because I am always saying it, but this time is different. This time there have been so many disasters that people are putting their money in helping (us included). Did you catch the excuse? This time is different! This time is not different and that the God of this universe is still the same as he was last year when we were going and had to cancel. Last year we raised the money to go and our trip ended up being canceled because of what was going there, so we just sent the monies we had raised and attempted to do the ministry long distance. The money went out but there was never a response because our good friend and my brother Pastor Ken Tagud passed away. We are sure they used part of the money for the Storehouse, but most of it probably went to Pastor Ken’s family to help with the expenses. It really doesn’t matter how it was used at this point, but now we will need to start over at square one. I thought I would try one more time to convince God why we couldn’t go, but the answer had not changed. So, we are going to start another campaign to raise the money to return once again to the Philippines. We still have a solid connection with Faith Tabernacle Church in Cebu with Pastor Ben Tagud, the father of Pastor Ken. Pastor Ben started the church many years ago and is now overseeing it once again. We will be planning to return sometime in July or August of 2018. We would appreciate your support with your contributions to help us return. God said he would supply and we know he will, but he also expects us to do our part as well which is reaching out and asking for your help. All contributions are tax deductible, but goes to helping those in the slums as well as those on the small islands. We are going to continue to stock the Storehouse, but this time we are going to take the funds with us and purchase the items ourselves. God has been so awesome to us and has blessed this ministry so many times and in so many ways. Please take a few moments to pray and ask God what he would have you give and then follow that prayer. You will be blessed, and God will pour into your lives more than what you could ever expect. I have tried the trying to convince God otherwise but like always, I lose, and he wins. God 100,000, me 0. Ream Ministries International Steve & Lorraine Ream I am pretty sure that for most of us, we are missing the mark when it comes to understanding what is about to take place. Jesus is returning and returning sooner than we think. How are we missing the mark? We have let our focus go to what is happening in the world instead of what God is about to do.
I overheard a conversation the other day and the people who were talking were saying that there is no way the world will never come to an end and that it is just hype by Christians to get people to come to their church. I could not set by and let them think that way so I had to interrupt and tell them the truth. I asked them if either one of them read the Bible to which the answer was no. I asked them then if they have ever heard the stories from the bible about then end of time. One said that she had but the other said that she had never been to church . I proceeded to tell them that the stories of the Bible are true and that Heaven and Hell are real. God one day is going to return and when he does the earth will be destroyed with some going one way and others going another. I mentioned the fact that I don’t care if you go to my church or anyone else’s church for that matter of fact, but I do care that you heed the words of the Lord and listen to what is going on. I told them if they don’t believe in Christ it is between them and God but, if they don’t believe because they think he doesn’t exist, then they should read the book, A Case for Christ, and even better that they read the Bible. They told me thank you for your concern but that is only your opinion. I left them with one scripture for them to ponder on. That scripture is Matthew 24:36, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” And when he returns, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I also left them with this, John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me” and I told them that if they would seriously want to be in Heaven when time ends, through Jesus is the only way. I went about my way thinking to myself, these women don’t have a clue and I just hope they at least heart just a portion and will seriously consider what I said. Like those two women, many may know what is about to take place but the enemy has clouded our thoughts and minds making us think that nothing is going to happen. We are missing the mark. Our minds are now focused on what the professional football players are saying and doing (me included) rather than the fact that the Bible tells us to keep our focus. Luke 21:34-36 "Be on your guard--see to it that your minds are never clouded by dissipation or drunkenness or the worries of this life, or else that day may catch you like the springing of a trap--for it will come upon every inhabitant of the whole earth. You must be vigilant at all times, praying that you may be strong enough to come safely through all that is going to happen, and stand in the presence of the Son of Man." Jesus is going to return and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Like Peter in the boat when he walked on water, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus because he is the only thing that matters. He will return so don’t miss the mark. Look at the signs and pray and seek God for Salvation, for Deliverance, for Direction, for His hand to be upon us. Soon and very soon we are going to experience the presence of God and if you don’t know him, the results will be catastrophic. Jesus made a way and that way will lead you to the Father. If you don’t know him today, then there is no time like right now to know that you know. Simply ask Jesus to forgive you, surrender to him and you will know and experience Heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6. You want to see the Father then you need to have that relationship with Jesus. There is no other way . Make it a point to focus on what the Bible and God is saying and don’t be one who will Miss the Mark. God bless you and my prayers are with you. It never seems to cease, people saying that the reason we are getting inundated with floods and fire is because of those people who voted for Trump. Friends, let me tell you one thing, we have a lot more to worry about rather than this person was elected or that person was elected. We need to worry about our souls and whether we know Christ as our Lord and Savior.
People who voted for Trump are in no way responsible for what is happening. God is not allowing these things to continue because someone voted for Trump. He is allowing these things to happen to get our attention. If you are one of those people griping and complaining, saying these things are happening because of Trump, then you need to grow up and look deep inside yourself to determine, do I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior? Whether you believe it or not we are living in the last days and you can be certain that soon and very soon the world will no longer be what it is today. A few thousand years ago, God destroyed a pair of cities Sodom and Gomorrah for their lewdness and their disobedience. If you look at our culture today, we have become the modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah. People could care less about others, they can only think of themselves and their opinions, nothing else matters. They have become lovers of themselves, of money etc... The bible says this in 2Timothy 3:1-5, But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! The things that are happening today are not because of who you voted for or who caused this or that, no, they are happening for a reason and that reason is, God wants to get your attention and to assure you that unless you turn from the world and turn to him, these things will destroy you and you will be forever lost. Serving God is not a joke, it is pure delight and to know that one day he looked down on a sinner like me and had compassion and saved me is a testament to his love for us. God is giving us a chance to repent and turn from our wicked ways and turn to him. If we will do these things he will save us. Save us from sin, save us from the destruction that is about to end the world as we know it. Time is running very short, and you need to prepare and know that you know you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You can say what you want about me, but this I know, I love Jesus with all of my heart and soul, nothing can change my mind because one day he touched my heart and had compassion on me and accepted me into his kingdom. He changed my life, he healed my mind and my body. He has healed me from a heart attack, cancer and a stroke. He promised me that he would never leave me nor forsake me and to that he has remained constant. I will tell everyone about the love of God. Some will listen some will not. Those who listen will be changed forever and those who will not will be lost forever. The choice is yours. God is giving every person of the world one last opportunity to surrender to him. Choose this day who you will serve, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:2,15. God bless every one of you. My prayer is that you will choose to head these words and start seeking out the face of God and he will make the path clear. My beliefs were recently questions and I am not sure if the person understands or not, but at least they walked away knowing without a doubt what I believe and why I believe it. Let me give you just a short background on what God called me to do. It is very simple and I have never questioned it. When I became a Pastor, God said to me that I was to lay hands on the sick and that I was to prophesy, both of which I have done without reservations or question. So, when those truths were questioned I had to defend what God has called me to.
Here is the conversation that took place and you can judge for yourself if my response was correct or not. I don’t want to give the person’s name, so for the sake of conversation, I will just call him Sam. Sam confronted me and in so many words said that I was a hypocrite. He said you believe in healing, don’t you? I responded that I did. Sam then said I do not practice what I preach. My question to him was “what do you mean”? He said if I believe in healing then why are people not getting healed and especially in my own family with my Granddaughter so sick? This is my response to his attack. I told him that God called me to lay hands on the sick. I am not the healer, he is. I told him that it is God alone that heals and he chooses when and how. I am only a vessel that he uses to bring his word and what he can do then the rest is up to him. I said, I have no power in myself to do anything other than just obey. Giving Sam the scripture that one-time God gave me he gave up and walked away. The scripture was Isaiah 55:8, for my ways are not your ways and my thoughts are not your thoughts declares the Lord. (paraphrased). I had asked God one time why, and that was his response and ever since I just do. If you are wondering, much like Sam, seek God and not man. God is the only one who can heal and we as humans can only pray. I would like nothing more than to see my Granddaughter totally and completely healed, but it is not up to me, it is up to God. If you really want to know what I think, I will tell you what I know, God will heal Tayler, but it will be in his time and not mine. God loves each of us exactly the same and though he may heal one and not another it is that love that will endure forever. When we take that word and that love and surrender to him, we will see miracles. God did not say how or when he simply said, “Be Healed”. If you are seeking healing right now in your body, in your family or where ever, this may be your test and God may be waiting for you to surrender to him 100%. He will do what he says and you will prosper when you really know him and the truth will be revealed then you will maybe for the first time know the Love of God. We don’t need to see it, we just need to believe it. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Let me share with you my take on what God showed me about this scripture, to possibly help you or others. Jesus was perfectly clear about what he was saying and did not mix his words. What he said should and will change the lives of people everywhere. Let me show you what God said to me in a dream. First of all, let’s break down the scripture. Notice that this particular verse starts with “I am”. That is the same name God used to describe himself to Moses. Exodus 3:13-14. Jesus being part of the Triune is in fact the I AM. Jesus then gave us the WHO. I am, the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. Then Jesus gives us the WHY! No one comes to the Father, except through me. Meaning, unless you have Jesus you will not see the Father. Let’s break this down even farther. “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. You probably don’t notice it because it took God to show me, but there is a definite in that short sentence. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. (period) The definite in this statement, is the period, nothing else and nothing more, just plain and simple PERIOD. The next definite is found at the end of the statement, no one comes to the Father except through me. (period) Both of these statements end the exact same way and are not up for discussion. Jesus is the WAY, Jesus is the TRUTH, and Jesus is the LIFE period. No one comes to the Father except through ME period. This is what God showed me and it made me really stop and think. There is no other way and in fact the Bible tells us that as well. Acts 4:12b, there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. What name? Jesus! Why? Because he is the WAY, the Truth, and the Life and the only way. Then God showed me and told me to tell everyone that if they want to see the Father they first have to surrender their lives to him. They need to ask Jesus for forgiveness. They need to accept him as their Lord and Savior. Finally, they need to have a relationship with him. Then they will be saved and then and only then will they see the Father. So, you see it is extremely important to accept Jesus. One example and I will stop. If you have loved ones who have gone on before and they had that relationship with Jesus and you want to see them again. In order for you to go where they are, you must have that same relationship they had or you will not enter through the gates of Heaven. No, well I go to church a few Sunday’s a year, or I am basically good and I do good. None of that works, only a relationship with Jesus. “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.” Let me share with you a fact. You may not even know of this fact, or if you do, you probably don’t even think about it. I did spend a lot of time thinking about it and I want to share with you what God shared with me about it. What is the fact? The fact is God loved Judas even up to the time he hung himself.
You might say that Judas was condemned for betraying Jesus and there was no possible way because of that fact. But, you would be wrong. God loved Judas just like he loves you and me and did up until the end. Had Judas of asked for forgiveness and sought repentance for what he did God would have forgiven him because he loved him. "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:3-4). Judas condemned himself because of the pain and condemnation he was feeling for what he had done to Jesus. Judas did not ask for forgiveness nor did he seek repentance for his error. Had he asked God to forgive him and truly repent, then God would have saved him. The same truths hold true in our lives today. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then now is the time. You may not have another chance, this may be the only chance you get. You have no idea when you are going to die and there is no guarantee that you will know when it is about to happen. One second, here, next second, gone. There is another fact that you should be aware of to help you in your decision if you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior. That fact is that one out of one of us are going to die. There is no getting around it and though you may think you have plenty of time, that just might not be the case. People die every day thinking that they would have more time and the sad thing is that many of them die in their sin and never come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. Think of it this way, in Matthew 20 1:16, Jesus told a story about how a farmer paid the same wages to those who worked for him whether they worked eight hours or one hour. Those who worked eight hours were upset because the farmer paid those who only worked one hour the same amount that he had paid them. You will have to read the story, but the same principle applies to how God looks at us. Whether you have known him for fifty years or five minutes he loves us all the same. Had Judas of just asked God to save him, he would have been saved. Same thing with the thief on the cross with Jesus. The thief simply asked Jesus to remember him when he got to where he was going (paraphrase) and at that very moment the man was forgiven and died going to heaven. It is never too late unless you just flat out ignore the offer. There are those who will die and never know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and will perish into an eternity in hell. There will be those who will just by the skin of their teeth make it to an eternity in heaven. Which category do you find yourself in? I said that it is never too late and that is true but there is an exception to that. That exception is this. One day Christ is going to return and the Bible says that when the trumpet sounds Christ will return and at that point it is too late. You will not have another chance to accept Jesus, it will be over. Why would you want to wait? Will you wait because your friends may laugh at you or those around you? Fact, your friends or family cannot get you into Heaven, only knowing Jesus as your Lord and Savior can do that. (John 14:6). Going to church cannot get you into Heaven, only knowing Jesus as your Lord and Savior can get you there (John 14:6). This is what the Word has to say about putting it off because you may be embarrassed or concerned about what others will say, whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:26). Accept Jesus today and do not delay because time is running out. Judas had the opportunity but did not do it because he thought what he had done was unforgivable. There is nothing you have done that God will not forgive you for, all you need to do is ask and when you ask you shall receive. (Matthew 7:7) Remember this, God loves you and always will. Accept his call today and know that you know, when you die you will be with him in heaven. I woke up at 2 AM this morning with God speaking to me about friends and family. Jesus said, “that they don’t know me, although there are those who profess to know me but the simple fact is they have never asked for forgiveness and invited me into their lives.”
As you may well guess, it is hard to sleep when you have the Holy Spirit consuming your mind and dreams. I asked him what should I do? He told me to get up and write these things down so everyone will know. It took me two hours to finally get out of bed and do what he told me to do, but here I am and this is what I want to tell you. Knowing God is not a thing that happens by osmosis, you must ask him to forgive you and invite him into your life. You don’t one day walk into a church and poof you are a Christian, just the same way you don’t one day walk into a garage and poof you are a Chevy. It is a little more involved than that. Every Christian today who have that one on one relationship with Jesus had to ask and they had to invite for them to become. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” You might ask, “just what exactly does that mean?” I am so glad you asked. It means that unless you have a one on one relationship with him and invite him into your heart, you have nothing. Let me tell you another dream I had about twenty-five years ago when I first got into the ministry. In the middle of the night, much like last night, God woke me up in a dream telling me just about the same thing but with a slight twist. He was going to make it so I could understand it and it was something that I have never forgotten and still to this day talk about. “I saw myself ministering in a church, and as I was preaching, there was this elderly woman sitting in the front row. I could not stop looking at her no matter how hard I tried. Each time I would turn away, and each time God would bring my attention right back to her. I finally said, “God what is it about this woman that you want to tell me?” He began to speak to me and he said, “This woman has been in church her entire life. She is here every time the doors are open. She does good in the community and is a very nice person, but when she dies, she will not get into Heaven.” This shocked me and I said to him, “What do you mean? You mean to tell me that this little old lady is bound for hell?” His reply was simple but to the point. He said, “That is exactly what I am telling you.” I asked him to explain further what the point was. He said, “The reason she will not enter Heaven is because she has never invited me into her life and asked for forgiveness.”” It was at that point I woke up and with a better understanding about the importance of asking for forgiveness and accepting Jesus into your life. The Bible says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The dream was only an example to teach me the importance of John 14:6, but it is an example that will be with me every day of my life. That is why I feel that same importance right now, because God gave me a dream about my friends and family and there is no way I want to have either that lost. If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior, or you once knew him and have turned away for whatever reason, or maybe you fall into that category of thinking you know him but have never really said, “Jesus come into my life and forgive me” The opportunity is right now. The Bible is true in every way and what you read in it has depth and meaning. Jesus gave you the, what it takes to get to Heaven, when he said in the scripture that he was the way, the truth and the life and that if you wanted to go to Heaven and be with the Father that you must accept him, then why not? In case you didn’t already know this, God loves you more than you will ever know and he proved it by sending his only Son to die on a cross just for you. God gave the ultimate gift for you and in doing so gave you the only path to himself through Jesus. Consider it today! Think hard about what I have said and don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Like God, I love you too and I want to see each and every one of you in Heaven one day. Jesus loves you and made it easy for you, so why don’t you ask him right now into your life and ask him to forgive you. Do that and then you will know that you know. Don’t let the enemy fool you into thinking that because you do good that is all it takes to get to Heaven, Jesus made it clear and nothing changes that fact. Thank you for letting me share my dream with you and I want to let you all know, I am praying for you. God bless The battle lines have been established and the war is about to begin, what do we do now? This is a revelation if you will that I received from the Lord this morning as I was doing my daily business for our ministry. Out of nowhere came those words, but I recognized the voice and knew it was something for us all.
To explain just a little about this war, it began a long time ago but people including the churches have just ignored it. The truth is it has always been with us since the time of Adam and Eve. We read about all of the times the enemy attacked God’s people and left a trail of destruction in his path. People would turn from God and in the interim would be destroyed for their lack of faith and their belief in God. Today is no different than back in the time of Moses and others. We still reap the judgements that the enemy wants to throw at us, but there is one change that they did not have or consider back then, we have Jesus Christ who came and died on a cross just for us because of his love for us. The battle’s continue and Jesus is there fighting them for us, if we will allow it. We have run into a problem, with our faith, with our worship, and most of all in our trust in God. You might ask, why would you even say that? The answer is very simple; we have become so comfortable with our surroundings that we spend more time for ourselves and less and less time with our Savior. Hard fact, but very true! We are so attuned to what the world is doing that for most there is a fear of what this group will do or what that group will do and there is a fear in most people’s hearts. Not the fear of the Lord but the fear of man. God says, “the battle lines have been established and the war is about to begin”. Though we have heard that one day he will return, we have not seen it to this day, we think there is plenty of time. We couldn’t be more wrong in our thinking than that. The enemy has gathered his army and is attacking families like never before. There has never been an outbreak of diseases like cancer and other life threatening diseases before. Literally hundreds of people are dying each day from the abuse of drugs because the thoughts and the actions of people are saying it is alright and that drug use will decrease if we make it legal. Young people are being exploited by those who seek to destroy and/or kill them. The enemy is running rampant and therefore the battle is here. What do we do now? The simple answer would be “pray” and that is exactly what we should do, but, more important than that is to be specific in our prayers. Don’t just throw out a blanket prayer that says “oh God save us from the enemy, keep us protected”. No, be specific; take it to the next level. First, give God all of the glory and praise. Next be specific about the attacks in your life and take them into the courts of God and ask him to nullify them and then take authority over the enemy as God directs you. You have the power, because it was given to you by Jesus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it”. (John 14:12-14) If you want the actions of God then you must hit your knees and pray like never before. The enemy is not going to relent and for the most part he will only strengthen in his actions. But God! The war that has been waged will soon and forever more be fought with the enemy destroyed and those who know Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be victorious. What about all of those who don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior? I have family members who don’t and friends who don’t, what happens to them? Good questions, but the Bible is very specific and it left nothing untouched. In John 14:6, Jesus told us how to receive salvation and nothing short of that will be accepted. Not good works, not association with Christians, nothing but what Jesus outlined for us. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Direct and to the point! The Bible is the anointed Word of God and it gives us instructions that we are to follow without reservations but in total and complete obedience. It is never too late, but, God has said that he is coming back and set his people free from the attacks of the enemy. The war is about here, so, now is the time to get ready, not at our convenience, NOW! Face down seeking God with everything that is within us. Crying out for God to first change our lives to what he wants and secondly asking for his mighty hand to move swiftly and with authority. I am not sure about you, but like it says in Joshua 24:15, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Our prayers will be heard by God and he will respond just like he said. Our prayers will prevail and we will see the righteousness of God in our lives. “Father, I bow before you and ask you to forgive me. Search my heart God and purify it casting out everything that does not belong there. I repent Lord for all of the things in my life that have not been in accordance with what you would have for me. God, I also ask you to go all the way back in my bloodline and I repent of anything that is there that is not pleasing to you. Nullify all of the wrong doings, all of the acts against you and all of the actions of my family line. God forgive them and break that chain in my life. God give us the strength and ability to fight this war to the very end. Satan has no hold on us anymore and in your court we will see him loose the battle in the Name of Jesus. Father, I ask you to speak into the lives of my family and my friends that if they don’t know you they will have a revelation of who you are and then give me the opportunity to share with them what you have anointed me to do. Jesus, watch over my friends and family and prepare them Lord. Father, I love you with a love like no other and give you the permission to change everything about me and I surrender to you completely.” In the name of Jesus, Amen! The last few days have been amazing to say the least. On Saturday, I took my grandson and a friend of his fishing at one of the local lakes. We found a place to get off the road and set up our fishing spots then got to fishing. I was located close to another man who had been there almost all day. I struck up a conversation with him, because that is what I do, I have never met anyone who is not a friend even though I have never seen them before or even talked to them. As we sat there talking about fishing, the man (Jeff) mentioned that his pastor comes fishing every now and again. He then proceeded to tell me about his physical problems and how he had a wire in his neck and a remote control to help ease the pain in his neck. Jeff told me that he had been prayed for several times and that nothing had happened so he figured God was not going to heal him. Jeff had no idea that I was a pastor, until he asked me what I do.
I told him that I was indeed a pastor and that with my wife we lead and direct Ream Ministries International. Jeff ask me if I would remember him in my prayers that he would be healed of the pain in his neck. I then began to speak to him about the healing power of Jesus and that Jesus did not want him to be in pain and that he had the answer. Jeff told me that he was not sure prayer works but that he keeps on pressing in for some reason. I told him that God had not given up on him and that the reason he keeps pushing forward was there was something inside of him that was telling him “One Day”. I explained to Jeff that one of the reasons why he was not healed was because he really didn’t believe that it could be done. I told him that we needed to surrender everything to Jesus and believe no matter what. Jeff told me that he wants to believe, but after many times of being prayed for and nothing happening it was very hard to do. I explained to Jeff that he needed to be just like Peter before he took his eyes off of Jesus and began to sink just after walking on the water. Jeff tried to tell me that, back in those days, Jesus was with them and that they could actually see him. I told Jeff that the same way Peter could see Jesus, so could we. I told him that Jesus is with us no matter what and that all we have to do is to focus on him and he is there. I told Jeff just to close his eyes for a moment and focus on Jesus and not fishing. He closed his eyes and then I told him just to quietly say the name Jesus a few times, he did and then something amazing began to happen and I could see the change coming into Jeff’s heart. After a few moments, Jeff opened his eyes and told me that was amazing. I said to him that what he felt was the Holy Spirit and that God was going to touch him. Suddenly, Jeff told me that he was never going to not believe again. He then told me that my showing up there was not an accident and that he thought maybe God sent me to him for a reason. I told him that God directs our lives and that what we had was an encounter with the Holy Spirit, and that it was a divine encounter. That was Saturday, and then came Sunday. Wow what a day, Easter and the honor of getting to worship the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You can’t beat a day like that ever on this earth. God speaks to hearts in ways they have never known before and my prayer is that he will bless them far beyond that. My wife and I after spending Easter with one of our daughters and her family, had to travel over to eastern Washington to attend the funeral of one of my wife’s uncles. We spent the night at her sister’s house then went to the funeral the next day. The awesome thing with all of that is, we got a chance to reconnect with family and friends. God gave us a great and safe trip back to our home. What an awesome God we serve, that something as simple as a safe trip he is there and ready to protect. Something as simple as speaking to a relative you haven’t seen for a long time, God ministers through one or the other to assure both that he is in control. Awesome few days and a touch of God in the process. What is amazing in all of this, is that where ever you go, whatever you do, God will use you if you allow him to. He is not going to force himself on you, so it has to be your choice. Accept what God is saying and do what he is telling you to do, and you will never, ever regret that choice. I know that I will always be looking for his hand and responding, because there is nothing like a touch from our Father. I pray that you will experience a touch of God that will change your life forever. He is always there, he is always speaking, and he is always ready to bless you. The only thing required of you is to accept and to believe. God loves you more than you will ever know and he wants to bless you more than you will ever know. Accept his lead today and then hold on because you are in for the most fantastic ride ever. God, bless you, Steve & Lorraine Ream |
