There is something that all of us need to know and that is we need to be real we need to be real with each other and real to ourselves. I have noticed how when you ask someone how are you doing, you get a great, fine, Okay or whatever and you never seem to get a struggling, not so good or I need help. I know for a fact that people really don’t want to share the way they are feeling because they don’t want to bother or annoy someone else with their problems. I am that way all of the time because people have a lot of things on their plate.

Thoughts begin to creep into your mind that, maybe I’m not good enough, or, maybe I am too old and the younger ones have it now. Whatever the thought is that enters into your mind, it is a lie from the devil and you should rebuke it in the Name of Jesus. We need to be real about all of this because it is real. Those thoughts are real, the actions are real. We cannot go around being something that we are not because of what others may think or of what we may think.

Being real is not going around revealing every little area of your life but it is being transparent and not phony. We don’t have to wear our feelings on our sleeves but be real in our thoughts of ourselves, being real with others, being real with who God called us to be. Being real is not painful in any way shape or form. Being real is putting it out there so you don’t have to carry the things put on you by yourself, getting others to pray with you and for you that bad thoughts go away, your health returns to normal, your finances are met. Whatever the instance may be if we are real with others they will be real with us.

This writing came out of me being real with you. Our ministry Ream Ministries International has branched out in a new direction for a season and obviously it is really getting the devil mad at us. Attacks are coming from all directions and some I actually pause on only to say get thee behind me Satan. Being real is helping that no one else stumbles on the same thing. Share what is happening and get others involved and actively praying with you that God will intervene and use the situation to reach out to someone else. Being real is going beyond you and thinking about others that they may have peace and hope in their lives.

When we are real with others it is amazing how things in your life seem to take a different direction. The enemy says you are too old (my thoughts under attack) and God telling you let others know and you don’t have to fight the battle by yourself. If you can get past your pride and allow others to know what is going on in your life you will see mighty intervention and God will move in ways you have never even thought of. The bible says that one can put a thousand to flight but two can put ten thousand to flight. It also says that where two or three are gathered He is in the midst.

So see you have a vast army when you are real and allow others into your life and let them share in your victory. Your victory over things in your life if you allow others in can also touch others because they may be holding back as well. Be real today and you will see what I mean. I struggle from time to time and just because I may be a minister, it does not mean that I am exempt from attacks. Satan is out to kill steal and destroy and he doesn’t care who, just that they do. There is power in the name of Jesus and with that power, we can overcome those thoughts and attacks and all it takes is that we be real.

I recently read an article that Christians are turning away by an alarming rate. They are saying that their life is going along very well and that they really don’t need God. They say they have had some problems but worked them out themselves because God did not answer their prayers. My question to them is “What in the world are you thinking of?”

These people as well as those who already say that they would never follow God are headed for a destruction that is beyond anything mankind has ever seen. Sure their life may be going along good now but what is going to happen when God pulls His hand away from it and allows the devil to have his way. They don’t understand that God has a plan for their life and His hand is upon them guiding them and helping them through the rough times and how dare they think that they are doing it.

I remember my life before God and how when I looked back on my life (that I thought I was in charge of) I could see how if it was not for God I would probably be dead. I wrote a book about all of this titled, “I See God In It” and in the book I tell some of the stories of how when I looked back I seen God, and how in many situations I was kept from destruction and rescued. I know I don’t live a sheltered life, but I really don’t understand what people are thinking. Maybe they need to experience loss of some kind to have their eyes opened or maybe they really just don’t care and think that everything is actually in their control. I really wish that people would understand that they will never get to heaven on good works or because they are good people. The bible says, “NO one comes to the Father except through me” these words were spoken by Jesus and He was telling us that there is only one way to heaven and that is through Him. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life and then He said no one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

Some people think they are bullet proof and that the bible is just a book and does not apply to them but one day Christ is going to return and those who are lost will stay lost and there will be no more chances. The day the trumpet sounds it is too late and if you don’t know Jesus you are lost. I really think people need to reconsider why they are leaving the church and turning from God. There is good new though, as long as there is breath in your body you can still come back and God will forgive you. My plea to the lost is please search your heart and look back on your life and then as you see how God has always been there turn to Him and repent, you need the Lord and you need to be saved.

Over the years my wife and I have traveled to the Philippines and it wasn’t until our trip this last November that we heard and felt God speak to us to reach out to help the people of the slums. The typhoon that struck the Philippines was far more damaging than 235 mph winds destroying cities and villages, it was devastating to families and children. Entire families were completely lost and others watched as their families perished before their eyes. Thousands of people were displaced to other areas where they had nothing other than the clothes they had on their backs literally.

One of those places was in Cebu Philippines. There were over eighty-eight thousand people moved from Tacloban, Leyte, where the storm hit directly, to Cebu and there was no place for them. People were literally half naked and many of the children had nothing more than a tee shirt to cover them. That is when God spoke to us and said you can help them.

Upon our return to the US we set out to collect clothing and things to help these people and have had quite the experience since. So far we have shipped four big boxes. The first two boxes shipped arrived in Cebu on March 1, 2014 and the second set of boxes should arrive in Cebu around the 5th of April. We are now in the process of filling the next two boxes and get them ready for shipment.

God continues to speak to us and now we are looking to expand our outreach to Cambodia, India, Africa and where ever else God wants us to go. This is where you come in. We need gently used or new clothing sizes infant to adult, toiletry items, small toys for the kids, basket and soccer balls, really just about anything. If you live out of our area and still want to help you can give financially and we will go and purchase the items to send. You can even send gift cards that we can use to purchase clothing and things for the people of the Philippines. All donations are tax deductible and would be a great blessing to those who are in such need.
