I would like to share with you what is on my heart. Every day I sit and just begin to ask God what? I ask him things that about things on my mind even though I know that he already knows, but I am looking for answers. He knows my heart when others have no idea. I wish I could keep my focus, but I am a simple man with simple thoughts and when I see things that are keeping others away, I need to ask God to show me. I would like to say that I get it, but sometimes, I don't.
As I sit and ponder on what God is doing in my life today, I feel his presence and he is saying to me, "don’t give up and continue that path that I have set before you". He has also asked me why I no longer bring words as I have done before that he has given me. In my mind, I tell him that it is because they fall on deaf ears. He already knows, but I say to him, that the churches today are no longer interested in the gifts of the Spirit. They no longer recognize the gifts unless they are the ones presenting them. People in their congregations are in need and they need those gifts, but the pastors have an attitude of, unless I say it, it is not from God. They have a select few who they may let say something but other than that, everyone else is off limits. They say these things with the justification that they are protecting the flock. What happened to discernment? Have the pastors forgotten about discernment and how you can show them in the Spirit? God I don’t want to be disobedient, but I need you to show me. I need you to speak to my heart and teach me. I can’t do this without you and need your presence in my life. I have so many questions. It seems to me that all the churches today want people in the seats and they don’t care, if more people come. I sit through a service and from worship to the end of the message I hear no invitation for those who don’t know you to come and as a church we will pray for them. All I seem to hear is, (at the end of the service), if you want prayer or want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, come up and there will be someone who will pray for you and the rest have a great day. God I ask you, what kind of an invitation is that? At that, God said to me, “You do what I have given you and I will do what I have established. Always remember what was said in Isaiah 55, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. With that I decided it was time to share what God is saying. Not only does is apply to me, but is applies to each one of us. I don’t know if anyone else have the same thoughts, but that does not make a difference because it is not about us but about God only. Whether we agree or disagree, the only thing we must do, is what God has given us and he will do the rest.
