I am considering making some changes to our web site, and would like to ask for your input.
I am not very creative and always try to keep things simple, you know the old saying, KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid, well that is me in a nutshell. I try to think of new ways but I would have a better chance of walking on water than coming up with creative ideas. Please, if you don't mind, would you take a look at our website at www.reamministries.com, and then let me know what you think? I do really need the help and want our site to be the best it can to reach the maximum number of people who are truly interested. Thanks in advance and may God bless you.

There are so many people today who have the wrong idea about money. They say it is the money that causes good people to go bad. But, the truth is it is the love of that money that causes good people to go bad. They are put into a situation where maybe they had no money and then thrust into one where money is no object and the more they are around it the more the love begins to grow and the more money they need to have.
If we were to be honest with ourselves, there would not be one of us who couldn’t say that they have not dreamed of what life would be like if they had money and that money was no object. Being honest, I have done it many many times and I even think of what I could do with that money. I say to myself, how I could help this person or that person, this ministry or that ministry. Good dreams and with honorable intentions. But, if it were to be a realization, would that be the way it would be? Who knows, and that is probably why God has not blessed some without that money because of what they may do or how they might react if they had it. No, it is not the money that makes people go bad, it is the love of money. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:10, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. God knows our hearts and what we can handle. He will not put more on us than we can handle and for some that omission would be to have more money than they knew what to do with. The best example of how the love of money can corrupt a person would be to have you look at someone who wins the lottery. They lust after the money by constantly purchasing tickets for their chance at the millions only to maybe win it and then all of those dreams are thrown out the window and they purchase new cars houses and I have even read that they get into drugs. There are many stories of those who won the lottery, that within five years of winning are penniless and in deep debt. The love of that money took a good person and turned them bad. I have no idea why people get sucked in the way they do, but it happens and happens every day. We must realize, and I am sure we do, that we cannot live without money. We need it to purchase our everyday needs such as food, clothing and so on and so on. It is when we take the need for money and turn it into an obsession. Somehow we think that if we could just increase that money to twice or maybe even three times the amount we would be better off. Wrong, and the world is full of people who have gambled away what they had to end up with nothing. That need for money turned into the love of money and then they were disappointed because they could not capitalize on it. Like I said before, it is not the money that is bad it is the love of money that is bad. We need to be satisfied with what we have and pray and ask God to increase what we have. I have witnessed it in my own life, I have a need and there is no way I can meet that need but at the moment I need it it is there. Let me share with you a short story to prove my point. It was back in about 2004 or 2005, I was out of work and we had bills coming due. My wife and I sat down one evening and asked God for his help in meeting our obligations. At the time we needed $651 to pay our bills and be current. The day come when the bills were due and disappointment was setting in. I decided to walk to the mailbox to see what had come in. I opened the box and there was an envelope and it was not placed there by the mailman. I opened the letter and there was a note that said, “Because I love you. Jehovah Jireh” there in the letter was a cashier check for exactly $651. No need to tell you how ecstatic I was. I said all of that to say this, we need to put our trust and faith in God and he will provide not only what we need but he will go far above and give us MORE THAN ENOUGH. Don’t get drug into the trap of the love of money but be set free by Jehovah Jireh (God our Provider). God loves you and when you ask and seek him, he will give you the desires of your heart. |
