What does God have for you? Do you know what He has or have no idea? Maybe you think that there is not really anything for you and that it is just something that Christians say? These are all valid questions and are things that I would like to expound on and hopefully shed some light as to the answers. I may not be a scholar but I do have a relationship with Jesus and I do believe that He uses me in my own way to speak into the lives of those who may be asking these same questions or some like them.
What does God have for you? I don’t know. I don’t say that to try to be funny but I say that because for each of us there is something different. What God has called me to do is more than likely not what He is calling you to do and visa-versa, and that is why He tells us to seek him and the answer will come. There is one thing that no matter what, does not change and the fact is, Jesus loves each and every one of us and He died that day on a cross that we might be saved and have eternal life. That is just part of the answer that you can take to the bank. I believe that another facet of the answer is found in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” This was not just meant for the disciples but for each of us as the bible is our instruction book for this life. You don’t have to have a title such as Pastor or Evangelist in order to tell people about what Jesus has done for you, although there are those who take the scripture literally and feel that it was just for the disciples. When we become Christians, we become a disciple of Christ and therefore that scripture does apply to us as well. We are all evangelists and it is our responsibility in the name of Jesus to tell everyone we know and those we come in contact with about what He did for us. What does God have for you? Tell your friends and family that don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior what He did for you and plant that seed for God to fertilize and water and make it grow that they too would accept Jesus into their lives. There may be other things to follow that God will ask you to do but be assured of this one thing leading people to the Lord is in my opinion one of the greatest things I could ever do. What a shame it would be that on the judgement day the person in line in front of you is a friend and God asks them, “Why did you not follow Me” to which they reply I didn’t know because my friend did not tell me about you and then God sends them to eternal judgement. I feel it our responsibility to tell all the world about the Love of God and even though the world may just be across the street or across town God has for us to tell everyone about Jesus. Do you know what He has or have no clue? Question two hits a little closer to home for many of us. Part A of the question asks “Do you know what He has? I think the more appropriate answer would be, if you know what God has for you, are you doing it. Many times I see Christians who I know are saved yet they would be the first to admit that they don’t tell others because they have no idea how that person would react or that they are just too embarrassed to say anything. My answer to them is always the same, if you don’t know how they would react then who cares. The important thing is that you tell them and then let God take it from there because you have done what He asked of you. For the second part of the answer I would say that the bible says that we are to be bold and let everyone know about Him (my own words). If you have a problem in that area then simply ask God for boldness and speak it out, Jesus loves you and this is what He done for me. Maybe you think that it is not really for you and it is just something Christians say? My answer to that is “have you asked God?” For the most part people would say no, so how do they know? It is not just something Christians say although they do, but it is written in the bible and it is something that God wants us to do. My answer would be, “read the bible and see what it has to say before you form an opinion.” I know that reading the bible will open your eyes to exactly what God has for you and that you would not have to put your dependency on man. Man will lead you sometimes on the wrong track, but God will always lead you in the right direction and what He says you can count on. I hope that this will enlighten you and maybe even give you a starting point to find out for yourself what God has for you. There is no greater place to start than at the source and that source is Jesus Christ. God is there and He is waiting for you simply to ask and to seek His direction for your life.
