The battle lines have been established and the war is about to begin, what do we do now? This is a revelation if you will that I received from the Lord this morning as I was doing my daily business for our ministry. Out of nowhere came those words, but I recognized the voice and knew it was something for us all.
To explain just a little about this war, it began a long time ago but people including the churches have just ignored it. The truth is it has always been with us since the time of Adam and Eve. We read about all of the times the enemy attacked God’s people and left a trail of destruction in his path. People would turn from God and in the interim would be destroyed for their lack of faith and their belief in God. Today is no different than back in the time of Moses and others. We still reap the judgements that the enemy wants to throw at us, but there is one change that they did not have or consider back then, we have Jesus Christ who came and died on a cross just for us because of his love for us. The battle’s continue and Jesus is there fighting them for us, if we will allow it. We have run into a problem, with our faith, with our worship, and most of all in our trust in God. You might ask, why would you even say that? The answer is very simple; we have become so comfortable with our surroundings that we spend more time for ourselves and less and less time with our Savior. Hard fact, but very true! We are so attuned to what the world is doing that for most there is a fear of what this group will do or what that group will do and there is a fear in most people’s hearts. Not the fear of the Lord but the fear of man. God says, “the battle lines have been established and the war is about to begin”. Though we have heard that one day he will return, we have not seen it to this day, we think there is plenty of time. We couldn’t be more wrong in our thinking than that. The enemy has gathered his army and is attacking families like never before. There has never been an outbreak of diseases like cancer and other life threatening diseases before. Literally hundreds of people are dying each day from the abuse of drugs because the thoughts and the actions of people are saying it is alright and that drug use will decrease if we make it legal. Young people are being exploited by those who seek to destroy and/or kill them. The enemy is running rampant and therefore the battle is here. What do we do now? The simple answer would be “pray” and that is exactly what we should do, but, more important than that is to be specific in our prayers. Don’t just throw out a blanket prayer that says “oh God save us from the enemy, keep us protected”. No, be specific; take it to the next level. First, give God all of the glory and praise. Next be specific about the attacks in your life and take them into the courts of God and ask him to nullify them and then take authority over the enemy as God directs you. You have the power, because it was given to you by Jesus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it”. (John 14:12-14) If you want the actions of God then you must hit your knees and pray like never before. The enemy is not going to relent and for the most part he will only strengthen in his actions. But God! The war that has been waged will soon and forever more be fought with the enemy destroyed and those who know Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be victorious. What about all of those who don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior? I have family members who don’t and friends who don’t, what happens to them? Good questions, but the Bible is very specific and it left nothing untouched. In John 14:6, Jesus told us how to receive salvation and nothing short of that will be accepted. Not good works, not association with Christians, nothing but what Jesus outlined for us. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Direct and to the point! The Bible is the anointed Word of God and it gives us instructions that we are to follow without reservations but in total and complete obedience. It is never too late, but, God has said that he is coming back and set his people free from the attacks of the enemy. The war is about here, so, now is the time to get ready, not at our convenience, NOW! Face down seeking God with everything that is within us. Crying out for God to first change our lives to what he wants and secondly asking for his mighty hand to move swiftly and with authority. I am not sure about you, but like it says in Joshua 24:15, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Our prayers will be heard by God and he will respond just like he said. Our prayers will prevail and we will see the righteousness of God in our lives. “Father, I bow before you and ask you to forgive me. Search my heart God and purify it casting out everything that does not belong there. I repent Lord for all of the things in my life that have not been in accordance with what you would have for me. God, I also ask you to go all the way back in my bloodline and I repent of anything that is there that is not pleasing to you. Nullify all of the wrong doings, all of the acts against you and all of the actions of my family line. God forgive them and break that chain in my life. God give us the strength and ability to fight this war to the very end. Satan has no hold on us anymore and in your court we will see him loose the battle in the Name of Jesus. Father, I ask you to speak into the lives of my family and my friends that if they don’t know you they will have a revelation of who you are and then give me the opportunity to share with them what you have anointed me to do. Jesus, watch over my friends and family and prepare them Lord. Father, I love you with a love like no other and give you the permission to change everything about me and I surrender to you completely.” In the name of Jesus, Amen!

The last few days have been amazing to say the least. On Saturday, I took my grandson and a friend of his fishing at one of the local lakes. We found a place to get off the road and set up our fishing spots then got to fishing. I was located close to another man who had been there almost all day. I struck up a conversation with him, because that is what I do, I have never met anyone who is not a friend even though I have never seen them before or even talked to them. As we sat there talking about fishing, the man (Jeff) mentioned that his pastor comes fishing every now and again. He then proceeded to tell me about his physical problems and how he had a wire in his neck and a remote control to help ease the pain in his neck. Jeff told me that he had been prayed for several times and that nothing had happened so he figured God was not going to heal him. Jeff had no idea that I was a pastor, until he asked me what I do.
I told him that I was indeed a pastor and that with my wife we lead and direct Ream Ministries International. Jeff ask me if I would remember him in my prayers that he would be healed of the pain in his neck. I then began to speak to him about the healing power of Jesus and that Jesus did not want him to be in pain and that he had the answer. Jeff told me that he was not sure prayer works but that he keeps on pressing in for some reason. I told him that God had not given up on him and that the reason he keeps pushing forward was there was something inside of him that was telling him “One Day”. I explained to Jeff that one of the reasons why he was not healed was because he really didn’t believe that it could be done. I told him that we needed to surrender everything to Jesus and believe no matter what. Jeff told me that he wants to believe, but after many times of being prayed for and nothing happening it was very hard to do. I explained to Jeff that he needed to be just like Peter before he took his eyes off of Jesus and began to sink just after walking on the water. Jeff tried to tell me that, back in those days, Jesus was with them and that they could actually see him. I told Jeff that the same way Peter could see Jesus, so could we. I told him that Jesus is with us no matter what and that all we have to do is to focus on him and he is there. I told Jeff just to close his eyes for a moment and focus on Jesus and not fishing. He closed his eyes and then I told him just to quietly say the name Jesus a few times, he did and then something amazing began to happen and I could see the change coming into Jeff’s heart. After a few moments, Jeff opened his eyes and told me that was amazing. I said to him that what he felt was the Holy Spirit and that God was going to touch him. Suddenly, Jeff told me that he was never going to not believe again. He then told me that my showing up there was not an accident and that he thought maybe God sent me to him for a reason. I told him that God directs our lives and that what we had was an encounter with the Holy Spirit, and that it was a divine encounter. That was Saturday, and then came Sunday. Wow what a day, Easter and the honor of getting to worship the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You can’t beat a day like that ever on this earth. God speaks to hearts in ways they have never known before and my prayer is that he will bless them far beyond that. My wife and I after spending Easter with one of our daughters and her family, had to travel over to eastern Washington to attend the funeral of one of my wife’s uncles. We spent the night at her sister’s house then went to the funeral the next day. The awesome thing with all of that is, we got a chance to reconnect with family and friends. God gave us a great and safe trip back to our home. What an awesome God we serve, that something as simple as a safe trip he is there and ready to protect. Something as simple as speaking to a relative you haven’t seen for a long time, God ministers through one or the other to assure both that he is in control. Awesome few days and a touch of God in the process. What is amazing in all of this, is that where ever you go, whatever you do, God will use you if you allow him to. He is not going to force himself on you, so it has to be your choice. Accept what God is saying and do what he is telling you to do, and you will never, ever regret that choice. I know that I will always be looking for his hand and responding, because there is nothing like a touch from our Father. I pray that you will experience a touch of God that will change your life forever. He is always there, he is always speaking, and he is always ready to bless you. The only thing required of you is to accept and to believe. God loves you more than you will ever know and he wants to bless you more than you will ever know. Accept his lead today and then hold on because you are in for the most fantastic ride ever. God, bless you, Steve & Lorraine Ream We have been so blessed in our ministry to be part of the things that God has in store for us. We have been honored to be part of many great miracles, one of the biggest being hundreds of people getting saved. We have watched as God touched people in ways they never dreamed could happen to them. Let me share just a couple with you.
In November of 2000, we were on the island of Negros. At the end of the service we were praying for those who needed prayer. As we were praying, my wife brought up a young boy about six years old that had a huge tumor starting between his eyes, running down his nose which caused his nose to spread out across his face. The dad said that the doctors said there was nothing more they could do other than try to keep him comfortable. For some unknown reason, I could not accept that fact. So, against what others would say, I reached out and put my hand over the tumor and prayed in the Name of Jesus that the little boy would be healed. Fast forwarding to 2006, I was one of the keynote speakers at a National Churches Conference when a man came up to me and told me that I probably would not remember him, which I didn’t, but that he was the father of the little boy on Negros that we prayed for who had an uncontrollable tumor on his face. He said that he just wanted to let me know that the little boy was now twelve and doing great. Thank you, Jesus. In November of 2008, we were ministering in a church on the island of Leyte in the town of Tomas Oppus. In one of the evening meetings, we were praying for people when this lady was literally dragging her friend up the aisle. When they reached the front of the church she come up to us and said that her friend was going to get prayed for even if she didn’t want to. The friend told us that she had stomach cancer and the doctors said that they would only give her a month at the most. I began to talk with the lady saying to her, “you don’t want to be, here do you?” she replied with a resounding NO. She told me that people have prayed before and nothing had happened and for that reason she did not believe God could heal her. After a few minutes I said to her, “it won’t hurt so why don’t you just let me say a quick prayer and that she could return to her seat.” She agreed, so I prayed a simple prayer like “Touch her father in the Name of Jesus. She returned to her seat and we continued to pray for the others there. After a few minutes the pastor of the church came to me and said that I needed to come to the back of the church immediately. I followed him and as we approached the back I seen the lady who did not want prayer with what looked like a glow around her. I asked her if she was alright and she said that she felt light. I said, “Light, I don’t understand light. I asked her what had happened? She said that when she returned to her seat and sat down, it felt like a fire entered her body from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. I chuckled and told her that it was the Holy Spirit and that he had healed her from top to bottom. I told the pastor that she needed to go to her doctor so he could check her out and then if he didn’t mind would he let me know? About a month later, I received a call from my friend in Cebu that the pastor of the church in Tomas Oppus called him to have him let me know that the woman we had prayed for went to her doctor and there was absolutely no sign of cancer in her entire body. Once again Thank you Jesus. Those are just a couple of the healings God has allowed us to be a part of in the years we have been going to the Philippines. There are so many more, but I just wanted to let you know that when you surrender yourself to the things of God, he will make a way where there seems to be no way. We enjoy each and every time we hear yet another story from our pastor friend in Cebu each time we have a Miracle Service in yet another church. We don’t look for miracles to happen, they just happen because God wants to touch his people and make them completely whole. He has shown us these miracles to show us his power and how he wants to use us because of our willingness to be used. You see it is not about us, it is all about him. Not only can he use us but he wants to use you as well. The only thing you need to do is simply surrender to his will and you will see the mighty hand of God move. He has called every one of us to ministry and when we will allow him he will use us. We are nothing special. We are not well known and are for the most part invisible to everyone, but God uses us in so many ways. You don’t have to be known around the world or be someone famous for him to use you, you just need to be yourself and be willing. God, bless you in all you say and all you do.
