It is very amazing to me how time seems to drag when waiting on God to move in our lives. The other day I was joking with our board members and said that waiting on God is very hard because He seems to drag His feet but that is only a joke. God does things in His own time and if you need a little proof read Isaiah 55:8. The bible says “for my ways are not your ways nor are my thoughts your thoughts declares the Lord. Proof positive so just hang on because if He says it He will do it and in His time.
It is really not hard to wait upon God in fact it is a huge character builder. Everyone needs a little patience and none more than me. God is teaching me and I think I am learning pretty good, but that is my opinion. But, if there is anything that I know or have learned that would be wait on God because the rewards are far greater than you could ever expect.
Some people don’t seem to have the time or the patience to wait, they try to do it on their own and then don’t understand why it didn’t work or why it failed. God gives them direction and that is all they need and then the race is on with the thought come on God catch up or I will leave you behind. They don’t stop to think about God called and they didn’t call themselves. I remember when I first got into ministry, I was so excited about being in ministry that with my wife in tow we headed out going to make our own open doors. The only doors that we found were the doors to poverty and a huge loss of our resources. We spent money on hotels and food when God did not tell us to go, we went on our own because I did not understand the concept of waiting for God to move and then go as He directs. Those days have come and gone and I have learned to wait because since then He has not let us down.
If you are wanting something to happen in your life and you know that God has called you, wait. If there is anything that I could tell you or encourage you with it would be wait on God, because it is not going to happen until you wait on Him and then He moves.
An Evangelist called to preach the gospel all over the world. To lay hands on the sick and to prophecy to everyone. Reaching out to the world that all may be saved.
