Love the Lord God!

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mark 12:30

I have heard it said, I will serve God my way and you serve God your way. According to the bible, you are actually saying, I will love God my way and you love God your way. There is only one way to love God and that is exactly word for word the way Jesus said it, Love the Lord your God will all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. He did not say do it this way or do it that way, He said only His way.

It really bothers me when I hear someone say to someone else or even say it to me that they serve or love God in their own way. For me that is a total cop out and it is so transparent that it is unbelievable. It sounds like they are trying to avoid hearing about God or they just want you to be quiet so they don’t have to hear about Him. Either way there is only one way and one way only and that is according to Jesus and the bible.

This all sounds like I am being critical of those and maybe I am but I want people to understand how important it is to not only love God but want to be like Jesus and follow His instructions as recorded in the bible. As an evangelist it is important for me to understand this love as to relay it on to the people God puts in my path. Without that love or the understanding of that love I would be totally useless in what God has called me to do.

I relay that love by telling people about Jesus and what He can do in their lives. How He can change their lives in ways that they could never understand. If it were not for Jesus I have no idea where I would be or if I would even be. You really need to understand the love of God and how we need to love Him. He gives the air to breathe and our abilities to do whatever it is we do.

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior, then my question to you would be why not? What is the reason you are waiting? Do you even realize how much He loves you? Are you tired of everything going a different direction than what you thought it would, or are you tired of your health and problems associated with it? Then I got the answer you have been looking for and that answer is Jesus. Jesus can do more for you than you could ever imagine.

I did not think that He could do anything for me years ago either, but when I reached that point in my life where I had nowhere else to turn and everything was going deeper downhill than I cared for, Jesus took me by the hand lifted me up and showed me a love like no other. So, I love the Lord God with all of my heart, all of my soul, all of my mind and all of my strength and there is nothing that will change that. God rescued me when I needed it the most and I will forever be grateful.

The way I like to show my love for God is to do what He has called me to do and do it with everything that is within me. The reason I write these blogs and tell others about Jesus. If there is anything that I don’t want to see happen that would be to see people not go to heaven because they were not told. Though I may not know you or will even have a chance to meet you and speak to you face to face I can tell you through these writings of how much Jesus loves you.

It is easier than you think to receive Jesus, He made it very simple for you and if you ask Him into your life and mean it in your heart, you will be saved and have eternal life. (John 3:16) If you believe really want to know Him please read John 3:16 and it will show you the love He has for you.
