I WILL HEAL THEIR LAND

I can’t help but to think about the scripture that Angus Buchan started the ministry that God gave him with. The scripture is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and it says, “for if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. What a scripture and just as great was what a message that it brought.

 

We need to take this scripture and live it every day. Whether anyone has noticed or not, the devil is beginning to subtly bring to existence things that are so wrong and so evil and people seem to accept it as if to say, “oh well it is just part of our society”. How wrong could they possibly be, it is not part of our society and the bible has given us warning after warning even to the point of telling us that in the last days the scoffers will come scoffing and following their own evil desires. Now we have reached a critical point in this world that either we need to repent and seek God or He will destroy us.

 

It has always been my goal since I have been in ministry to lead others to Christ and nothing has changed except to say there is a urgency for this to happen. I know that no matter what I have to say there will be those who will never turn their eyes or hearts toward God and for those people the only thing I can say is May the Lord have mercy on their souls. For all of the others now is the time and today is the day to receive Jesus into your life. I really don’t think we have the luxury of waiting, we must do it today and right now! God cannot allow this world to continue in the way it is going now. Jesus said that one day He would return and we should be watching for that to happen.

 

We have gotten so relaxed in our everyday life and we seem to just accept  what is going on around us. We say to ourselves, “well it does not affect me so why should I worry about it” when we should be praying for a move of Christ. It does affect us and if nothing more, just think about the people who don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, what about them? What about those people who have never been given the opportunity to receive Jesus. You might think that how could they not know when in essence they don’t. Before I became a Christian I had never heard about Jesus and I would guess that you didn’t either. So what about those people? You see it does affect you because one day you will stand before God and He will say to you, I put people in your path and you ignored them with the statement it does not affect me. What are you going to say then.

 

Those who don’t know about Jesus and those who have chosen to ignore Him are our responsibility no matter what their response is. God isn’t asking us to wrestle them to the ground until they submit their lives to Him. God is asking us to tell them about Him and then He will take it from there. So, you see it does matter to us and there is something we can do. Pray! Pray that God will hear our prayer and heal our land. Pray that people will see the wicked ways about them and turn to God. Pray that we will seek His face no matter what and humble ourselves to Him. In other words Pray.

 

Angus Buchan took a scripture that God had placed in his heart and thousands were saved because he took that scripture and shared it regardless of what others thought. We are not different than Angus Buchan, God has put a message, a scripture in our hearts and told us to go preach the gospel (Matthew 16:15) We desperately need to humble ourselves and seek His face and ask Him to open the hearts of those who He puts in our path that they will surrender and then the healing begins.

 

Too many times I hear people say, I wish God would show me what my calling is or what He wants me to do, when every day He puts people in our path to minister to and tell them about Him. You don’t need a parade to let you know or you don’t need an evangelist to tell you what God wants you to do, God wants you to ask Him and seek His face and in the meantime He will place people in front of you to minister to. Let’s just say it is basic training to get you to the place He has called you. The bible says that if you are faithful with the small things (telling someone about Jesus) He will put you in charge of the big things (world evangelist, lead pastor). The only thing you need to concern yourself with is doing what God tells you to do.

 

My message is simple and even if you know Jesus or not, God loves you so much that I am certain that  He weeps every time He sees how we are acting here on earth. God loves you with a love that is so massive you cannot imagine, dream or think that high. If He gave his only Son that we might have life and that we might live a life of joy and peace and feel that love in our lives. The only thing He is asking in return is that we love Him. That we trust in Him and that we surrender our lives to Him. Speaking from experience, I tried living my life on my own and I totally messed it all up. The day I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, things began to change and I have never have looked back. God saved me and He showed me that love He has for me. With that love He has for me I am going to pass it along whether they listen or not, I am going to tell them then my work is done. My whole goal is to stand before God one day and hear Him say to me, WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT other than that nothing else matters from this world.
