Death is permanent as far as this world is concerned

As far as the world is concerned, death is permanent. You will not come back as anything in another lie, you are dead. I heard a conversation on TV the other day and this person was saying that they were something else in another life and when they die in this life they will come back as something else. If I could have spoken to that person through the TV I would have told them what I am going to say now, when you die you die, you do not come back as anything.

There is some news that for some is fantastic, but for others not so great. Death is not permanent to our spirit. When we pass from this life on earth our spirit will be going to the place that our life on earth dictated. For those who chose to follow Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior, their soul will enter the kingdom of heaven. For those who thought they had more time and did not accept Jesus or for those who believed that they would come back as something else, their soul will be lost forever and will enter into the kingdom of darkness.

I have never understood why people could be so blind to the fact that their life on this earth is really so short that there is not much time. It took me over 40 years to get a realization of life and death and for my money I have chosen life after death with Jesus. My testimony is, one day I reached the bottom of the barrel and I had nowhere to turn. Nothing else could go wrong because everything was a total disaster. Then came the day I walked into church and as the pastor spoke it was like God was speaking directly to me and there was no one else even in the building. The pastor gave an alter call and I did not walk up front, I ran. The importance of what the pastor said was weighing very heavy on my heart and I knew that if I died at that very moment my soul would go directly to hell and there would be no turning back. I made it down to the alter and surrendered my life to Jesus on the spot and have never looked back since.

God has given us a golden opportunity and if we choose not to take it we may not get another chance. I have said before that we never know when or how we are going to die and if we do not know Jesus as our Lord and Savior we will never get to see the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Meaning, if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus then you are just as lost as if you were the worst murderer in the world who has denied God.

You might not think about it or you may have and just haven’t acted on it, but it is a matter of life and death to have a relationship with Christ. Life is living in heaven for eternity and death is wishing that you could just stop existing because of the suffering in hell. There really is a heaven and a hell the bible tells us so and it also explains to us the differences. I know that there will be those who will read this and think that I have totally lost my mind because they can’t see God or their spirit, but let me tell those people, this is not a game this is very serious.

The bible says that we need faith. It says we need to have faith and with that faith anything will be possible for us. In Hebrews 11:1 the bible says that faith is the substance of things hopes for and the evidence of things unseen. Just because you can’t physically see God does not mean that He is not there. On the other hand, you can see God. Take a breath and watch your chest go up and down, that is God. Without Him you would not be able to do that. We breathe because God breathed life into us. So you can see God and if you will put your trust and faith in Him, He says that nothing will be impossible for you.

Today is the day to surrender because there may not be a tomorrow. Death could come and catch you totally by surprise and you thought you had more time. Remember death is only permanent to this world but to God there is eternal life after our physical death. Don’t wait because it could be too late. Choose today who you will serve but for me and my house we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15)
