It's easy to pay lip service to letting go and trusting God in everything. But how often do we actually FULLY trust Him? I had done this for many years, holding on to a small piece of control; I would hold on, perhaps out of fear of whatever I don't know.
But I ask you, what is there to be afraid of? Really! Should we be so arrogant to be afraid of inconvenience? Or the uncomfortable? Should we consider ourselves so important that we are entitled to such things? How about embarrassment? Does the one who created you care if your body isn't perfect? No. Jesus loves you as you are. What about death then? Should we fear even death? I say that there is a type of death that scares me, but it's not the type of death that most people would think about; I don't fear the death of my body, for I know that my soul will live on and go forward for judgement in heaven. The death that scares me is death in hell after being told by God, "I don't know you. Your name is not on the list. Report to everlasting fire and misery." So what is there to be afraid of here on Earth!? Absolutely nothing if you know Christ. So get to know Him. Talk with Him. Be His friend. I promise He will accept you if you are sincere.
